Nomad Opening Doors, Sheffield

With CABWI’s support, Nomad Opening Doors will deliver its Empower and Employ project - supporting vulnerable individuals living in its supported accommodation to develop the skills, confidence, and qualifications needed to enter the world of work.

Many of their clients have never worked and face multiple barriers to employment, including unstable housing, lack of experience, and limited understanding of the job market. This funding will enable their dedicated Housing and Progression Officers to provide tailored one-to-one support, helping clients identify their strengths, access training opportunities, complete accredited courses, and explore volunteering placements.

The project will work closely with partners such as CSCS, Sheffield College, and DWP to create pathways into construction, utilities, and other sectors with long-term opportunities. This grant will directly contribute to breaking the cycle of homelessness and unemployment - empowering individuals to move forward with stability, purpose, and hope for a brighter future.
