Into Work, Edinburgh - From Isolation to Part of the Community

CABWI’s grant enables Into Work to deliver its project From Isolation to Part of the Community: Enabling Young Disabled Lives, supporting young disabled people (YDP) aged 16–25 who face significant barriers to employment.

Many are isolated, anxious, and far from the labour market. They provide intensive, trauma-informed 1:1 and group support, helping YDP build confidence, independence, and skills. Their holistic approach includes travel training, wellbeing coaching, income maximisation, and employability support.

They follow the 5-stage Employability Pipeline, moving YDP from pre-engagement to volunteering, education, or work. CABWI’s funding allows them to reach those on our waiting list, offering hope and opportunity to people who might otherwise be left behind.
