Funded by CABWI, Cedarwood’s Nurture, Thrive & Get into Employment programme delivers a 6-week, person-centred pathway for young people aged 16–24 who are not in education, employment, or training.
Hosted by the Nurture Catering Academy at Cedarwood Trust, the programme blends accredited food hygiene training, first aid awareness in the kitchen, holistic wellbeing, employability, and life skills development. Participants engage in confidence-building workshops, CV and interview preparation, cooking sessions, and mental health resilience activities.
Each cohort completes a personal showcase and receives a certificate of achievement. The programme is designed to foster self-belief, practical readiness, and community connection—supporting progression into volunteering, work, or further learning. With a strong emphasis on inclusion, lived experience, and peer support, Thrive creates a safe, empowering space for young people to grow, reflect, and thrive.
